Data Residency

Definition

Data residency is the requirement that data be stored and processed within specific geographic boundaries. For AI automation, data residency controls determine where prompts, inputs, outputs, and audit logs are stored — critical for organizations subject to GDPR (EU), HIPAA (US healthcare), PDPA (Asia-Pacific), or industry-specific regulations that mandate data remain within certain jurisdictions.

JieGou's Data Residency Controls

JieGou supports configurable data residency with presets for GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and PCI-DSS. Organizations can specify which data categories are processed where, validate compliance before workflow execution, and export evidence for auditors. The hybrid deployment model allows VPC execution agents to run within a customer's own network.
