"Repeatable" isn't "right"
Deterministic tools guarantee you get the same number every time — they don't guarantee it's the right number. A deterministic pipeline reproduces its own bug perfectly, every run, fully consistently. Correctness needs a check from outside the system that produced the number. Tally is that outside check: an independent engine that recomputes your figures from the source, whoever — or whatever — built the report.
It's also why "verified" means something here. Elsewhere, a "verified" badge means a colleague clicked a button. In Tally it means a separate engine recomputed every figure from your data and can show you the exact rows behind each one. A mechanical check, not a ceremony — and it runs entirely in your browser, so your spreadsheet never leaves your machine.
