Microsoft just made AI pricing concrete. With Agent 365 at $15/user/month and M365 E7 at $99/user/month both going GA on May 1, 2026, we can finally do exact math — and the numbers tell a clear story.

The math at every scale

JieGou Pro costs $49/month and includes 10 team members. JieGou Team costs $149/month and includes 25. Need more? Extra seats are $5/member/month — a fraction of per-seat platforms.

Here’s how the annual costs compare:

Team SizeJieGouAgent 365M365 E7JieGou Savings vs. E7
10 people$588/yr (Pro)$1,800/yr$11,880/yr95% cheaper
25 people$1,788/yr (Team)$4,500/yr$29,700/yr94% cheaper
50 people$3,288/yr (Team+25)$9,000/yr$59,400/yr94% cheaper
100 people$6,288/yr (Team+75)$18,000/yr$118,800/yr95% cheaper

For teams of 10 or fewer, JieGou Pro at $49/month ($588/year) is 67% cheaper than Agent 365’s $1,800/year.

The marginal cost gap

Adding your next team member to JieGou costs $5/month ($60/year) — once you exceed the included seats. Adding that same person to Agent 365 costs $180/year. Adding them to M365 E7 costs $1,188/year.

That’s 3x cheaper than Agent 365 and 20x cheaper than E7, per person.

Per-seat pricing penalizes the exact behavior you want to encourage: broader AI adoption across your organization. Every new user triggers a budget conversation. Every department head has to justify the incremental cost. The result? AI stays locked inside a handful of power-user accounts while the rest of the organization waits.

JieGou’s model is different. The generous included seats mean most teams pay nothing extra, and overage costs are minimal enough that onboarding shouldn’t require a budget conversation.

What about E7’s Office suite?

Fair question. M365 E7 bundles Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and the full Office suite alongside its AI features. If your organization doesn’t already have Microsoft 365, that bundle has real value.

But most enterprises already pay for Microsoft 365. According to Microsoft’s own earnings reports, over 400 million people use M365 commercially. If your company is one of them, E7 is an upgrade — not a fresh purchase. You’re paying $99/user/month primarily for the AI capabilities layered on top of tools you already have.

JieGou provides purpose-built AI workflow automation — 20 department packs, 250+ MCP integrations, and 12 messaging channels — at a fraction of that cost. And it works alongside your existing Office suite, not as a replacement for it.

What about Agent 365 standalone?

At $15/user/month, Agent 365 is reasonable for small teams. For 5 people, that’s $900/year — competitive with JieGou Pro’s $588/year, though still more expensive.

The gap widens fast. At 25 people, Agent 365 costs $4,500/year vs. JieGou Team’s $1,788/year. At 50 people, it’s $9,000 vs. $3,288. The per-seat model works against you at scale.

Beyond pricing, JieGou offers capabilities that Agent 365 doesn’t match:

  • 20 department packs — pre-built workflows for HR, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Support, and more
  • 250+ MCP integrations — connect to the tools your teams already use
  • BYOK model choice — bring your own API keys for Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google models
  • 10-layer governance — audit trails, approval gates, PII redaction, and compliance controls
  • Cross-platform reach — deploy AI across LINE, WhatsApp, Instagram, Slack, Teams, email, and 6 more channels

Agent 365 ties you to the Microsoft ecosystem. JieGou works wherever your teams work.

AI adoption shouldn’t penalize growing teams

Per-seat pricing creates a perverse incentive: limit AI access to control costs. Budget-conscious managers restrict licenses to “essential” users. Departments get allocated a fixed number of seats. New hires wait months for provisioning.

This is the opposite of what AI adoption should look like. The companies that win with AI are the ones that deploy it broadly — to every department, every role, every workflow that can benefit. You can’t achieve that when every new user adds a significant line item to the bill.

JieGou’s pricing aligns cost structure with adoption goals. Generous included seats cover most teams, and $5/month overage per extra member keeps scaling predictable. Compare that to $15–$99 per seat on Microsoft’s platforms, and the math is clear: broader AI adoption is dramatically cheaper on JieGou.
