Create an AI Agent in 2 Minutes: Templates, Smart Defaults, and Progressive Disclosure

Most enterprise AI platforms require hours of configuration before an agent handles its first message. JieGou's quick-create flow, 10 industry templates, and smart BYOK defaults get you to production in under 2 minutes — with full governance from day one.

The Configuration Problem

Enterprise AI agent platforms face a tension: more governance layers mean more configuration. More configuration means longer time-to-first-value. Teams that need the strongest compliance controls are the same teams that can least afford to spend days setting up their first agent.

We set out to solve this. The goal: production-ready agent in under 2 minutes, with all governance layers active from the start.

Three Fields to Production

JieGou’s quick-create flow asks for exactly three things:

  1. Name — what to call your agent
  2. Description — one sentence describing what it does
  3. Channel — which messaging platform it connects to (LINE, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.)

Everything else is auto-configured. The system detects your account’s BYOK API keys and selects the best available provider and model — preferring Anthropic Claude, falling back to OpenAI, then Google. No manual provider configuration, no model selection dropdowns, no API key juggling.

10 Industry Templates

For teams that want a head start beyond the three-field minimum, we built 10 industry-specific templates:

  • E-Commerce Support — product inquiries, returns, order tracking
  • Healthcare FAQ — clinic questions with medical topic escalation
  • SaaS Onboarding — getting-started flows with API docs context
  • Restaurant Booking — reservation handling with menu integration
  • Real Estate — property inquiries with showing scheduling
  • Travel — booking assistance with itinerary management
  • Education — student support with course catalog context
  • Finance — account inquiries with compliance-sensitive escalation
  • Legal — intake questions with privilege-aware routing
  • HR — employee queries with policy document RAG

Each template pre-configures a system prompt, suggested rule categories, knowledge base structure, and escalation policy tuned for that vertical. Templates are starting points — every setting remains fully editable.

Smart BYOK Defaults

The quick-create flow resolves your LLM provider automatically from your account’s encrypted API keys. The resolution order:

  1. Anthropic (Claude Sonnet 4.6) — preferred for reasoning quality
  2. OpenAI (GPT-4o) — strong general-purpose fallback
  3. Google (Gemini 2.5 Pro) — alternative option

If you have multiple providers configured, the agent uses the highest-priority available key. No manual selection unless you want to override.

Governance from Day One

Here is where quick-create diverges from “simple chatbot builders.” Every agent created through the quick-create flow starts with governance layers active:

Governance Score — Each agent displays a real-time score from 0 to 100, computed from 8 weighted factors:

FactorWeight
Escalation policy configured20%
Audit logging enabled15%
Knowledge base attached15%
Rule table present15%
RBAC roles assigned10%
Cost controls set10%
Memory/context limits10%
BYOK encryption active5%

The score updates live as you configure each layer. Templates start with a score of 40-60 (basic governance active), and the UI guides you toward 80+ through contextual prompts.

Progressive disclosure — Advanced governance controls (approval gates, sensitivity labels, threat detection) are available but not shown by default. The interface reveals complexity only when you are ready for it, keeping the initial experience clean while ensuring enterprise features are one click away.

The Dashboard View

Once agents are running, two new dashboard components give teams operational visibility:

  • Agent Activity Feed — per-agent conversations today, escalations this week, and last message timestamp, pulled from live thread data
  • Governance Summary Bar — weekly aggregated metrics across all agents: total actions, escalations, violations, and LLM cost

Together, they provide a single-screen view of both operational health and compliance posture — the kind of visibility that usually requires a separate analytics tool.

Why This Matters

The quick-create flow is not about making things “easy” in the way consumer chatbot builders are easy. It is about removing accidental complexity while preserving essential complexity.

Configuration that the system can infer (provider, model, basic governance) should not require manual input. Configuration that requires human judgment (escalation thresholds, rule tables, knowledge base content) should be prompted at the right time, not all at once.

The result: teams go from zero to a governed, production-ready agent in under 2 minutes. Then they iterate — adding rules, uploading documents, tuning thresholds — with the governance score as their guide.
