The Midnight Chocolate Call
Picture this: it’s 2 AM, and a pet owner calls their vet clinic in a panic. Their Labrador just ate an entire box of dark chocolate. The clinic is closed. In most practices, this call goes to voicemail.
With JieGou’s emergency triage, the AI voice agent picks up, classifies the call as a true emergency (dark chocolate + large quantity + dog = high risk), provides immediate first-aid guidance, and initiates a warm transfer to ASPCA Animal Poison Control. The on-call DVM gets an alert with the full triage summary.
The safety principle is simple: classify UP. When the AI is uncertain, it escalates to a higher severity tier. We’d rather send a pet owner to the emergency vet for a false alarm than miss a real emergency. The operations dashboard tracks this explicitly — our target is zero false negatives.
Every triage runs in shadow mode. The AI never makes final clinical decisions. A licensed DVM reviews every classification.
