An approval gate is a step in an AI workflow that pauses execution and requires one or more designated humans to review the current output and approve, reject, or modify it before the workflow continues. Approval gates insert human judgment at critical decision points — before sending a customer email, publishing content, or executing a financial transaction.
Multi-Approver Policies
Approval gates support configurable policies: single approver, any-of-N, all-of-N, or hierarchical escalation. You can require that both a team lead and a compliance officer approve a workflow step before it proceeds.
Escalation and Reminders
If an approval isn't acted on within a configurable time window, JieGou automatically sends reminders and can escalate to a backup approver. This prevents workflows from stalling indefinitely waiting for human input.
